The Democrat Presidential Ticket, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Bernie Sanders: They’re Farther Left Than Karl Marx

August 29, 2020

Karl Marx is ecstatic. Whether he is looking up at us or looking down upon us, he is smiling. He is resting easy with the knowledge that for the first time in US history a major US political party has nominated an openly socialist presidential ticket. Bernie Sanders, who is not officially part of the ticket, has always been a socialist, so his position doesn’t surprise anyone. As for Kamala Harris, it has been said that she is farther left and more radical than Elizabeth Warren. That leaves Joe Biden as the only “moderate.” He is old and weak and will be pushed to the left and molded like putty. He will become nothing more than the pawn of Bernie Sanders, AOC, and the radical left. Eventually, he will become so addled that he will be forced to relinquish the presidency to Kamala Harris. Just suppose for argument’s sake that someone like Elizabeth Warren is named Vice president. You will have two radical left-wing socialists at the helm of the government of the United States. That is a nightmare scenario that would keep me up at night.

The party platform of this radical left-wing political trio is so far left of the political center and so dangerous to the economic well-being of this country that it could result not only in a recession, but in a full-blown economic depression. Some of you that are reading this would say that my comments are hyperbole. I think if you read on, your opinion may move, at least somewhat, towards my position.

Joe Biden has said that he will not raise taxes on anyone with an annual income of less than $400K per year. Specifically, he proposes to raise the maximum tax rate on ordinary income from 37% to 39.6%. That in itself doesn’t really sound that bad. However, when you add to that the fact that he also wants to impose ordinary income tax rates on qualified dividends and capital gains, that changes the outlook for investors significantly.

This is not a complicated issue. People invest money with the expectation of making a profit or a return on their investment (ROI). If qualified dividends and the profit on capital gains were to be taxed at ordinary income tax rates, the tax paid could be as high as 50% when you add in the state income tax, which in some states can be as high as 10% or more. Given these circumstances, investors would more than likely think twice about tying up money with little or no chance of making a reasonable return. It becomes a question of risk versus reward. Some investors would be willing to assume the risk with a 50% tax on their gains. Many others would not.

This would be detrimental to our economy as a whole, and especially to the job market. When Donald Trump became president, he said that he was going to bring jobs back to the US. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act did exactly that. Businesses that had moved overseas began to come back and with those businesses came jobs—7.5 million jobs. Raising the rate of corporate income taxes will only give these businesses an incentive to leave the country again. These business concerns are not yo-yos. They may not return the next time. In addition to wanting reasonable taxes and less regulation, these businesses also want stability. Patriotism aside, it just may not be worth it from a business standpoint to pack up and move every time the US tax code changes.

It has been widely reported that when Bernie Sanders ended his primary campaign for the Democrat nomination he asked for and received policy concessions from Joe Biden. In return for these concessions Senator Sanders agreed to support the candidacy of the former vice president. He also agreed to encourage his supporters, the Bernie Bros, to support the Biden campaign. As you can probably guess, these concessions from the Biden campaign moved the Democrat party further to the left. Issues such as Medicare for All and The Green New Deal were both on the table.

Senator Sanders has been pushing for tax increases on the wealthy. The Senator’s plan would impose a graduated tax on the wealth of individuals with net assets in excess of $32M. This tax rate would increase gradually to a high of 8% for those with net assets in excess of $10B.

Another tax that the senator is quite fond of is the estate tax. Senator Sanders wishes to tax the estates of wealthy Americans by imposing a fanatical tax on their estates. First, his plan would raise the level of assets that are exempt from estate tax from $3.5M to $11.5M. He would then tax these estates by the use of a graduated tax, starting at 45% for assets in excess of $3.5M and increase the tax rate up to 77% for estates in excess of $1B. How do you like socialism so far?

I fully understand the need for governments to tax their citizens to fund itself, but when those taxes become confiscatory, the line has to be drawn. It’s not as if these wealthy people stole this money, or embezzled it, or cheated at cards, or sold out their country, or did some other nefarious deed to get rich. Most of them were talented investors, like Oprah, or business owners who worked really hard to become financially successful. The plan proposed by Senator Sanders is nothing short of legalized government confiscation of one's personal assets—and should be fought in any way possible.

Barack Obama once said in a news conference that Americans who built their business up from nothing did not make those businesses successful. According to the former president, it was the government that made their success possible by building roads, bridges, water and sewer systems, and other infrastructure.

It should be evident to anybody who has listened to Senator Sanders, or almost any other progressive Democrat for that matter, that they agree with the former president. They think that it was the government that provided the citizens of this country with all the modern roads and other infrastructure that have made it possible for their businesses to thrive. What Senator Sanders fails to tell you is that it was the hard-earned money of taxpayers that paid for those capital improvements in the first place, not the government. I see no reason why people who have worked hard all their lives and paid their taxes, doing their “fair share” if you will, should have the fruits of their labor confiscated by the government. These taxes are being proposed for one reason and one reason only: Senator Sanders is of the opinion that he and others like him should be in charge of deciding just exactly how this money should be spent. The money is there for the taking and the government should take it for the good of the collective. Can you imagine the level of arrogance that must exist behind that wrinkled old face and scruffy hairdo to even contemplate that possibility? It is off the charts.

It has been estimated by professional economists that it will take roughly fifteen years for the government, through the confiscatory tax policies proposed by Senator Robin Hood and his band of merry socialists, to cut the wealth of billionaires in half. I want to make one very relevant point regarding these confiscatory taxes. Every year that this goes on the government will get less and less revenue from these taxes. This is because every year the principle on which the tax is assessed will become smaller and smaller. Also, since this a graduated tax, at certain points over those fifteen years the tax rate on the wealth of these billionaires will be reduced. This will occur because the total of the taxable wealth will eventually drop to the next level where the tax rate will be lower. When that happens, how does the government replace that revenue? After fifteen years that tax revenue will be substantially reduced, but the social programs put in place by the good senator will still have to be funded. Just exactly where will that money come from?

Given the fact that this tax revenue will be reduced year after year, and will eventually become an insignificant amount, the question then becomes how will that revenue be replaced? I’m sure that the elected morons who put these taxes in place will have no difficulty finding numerous ways to squander that money. Just how those programs will be funded when this tax money runs dry remains unanswered. They are probably planning on raising the debt ceiling and borrowing more money. The only problem with that is that the US will have gone the way of the Soviet Union long before this happens. I say this because the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) just published a report saying that the US is reaching a point where borrowing more money to fund the government is becoming a problem. Our triple A credit rating will be negatively affected if we don’t get government spending under control. The CBO is raising the red flag. We need to get the financial affairs of the US on solid ground—or be prepared to suffer the consequences, which will be substantial.

There is also the possibility that some of these billionaires will renounce their citizenship, pack up their belongings, sell any assets they are unable to move such as real estate, and leave the country. Not that long ago, the thought of a US citizen who would contemplate leaving the country would have been unthinkable. But these are strange times. My generation is giving way to people who believe in tighter government control of what people see, hear, and say. They are willing to lie, cheat, steal, and—as the events of past few months have shown—riot, loot, and murder any one, including the police, who stand in their way.

Another way that Joe Biden and the left-wing Democrats want to keep more of your hard-earned money is by eliminating the tax deduction for taxpayer contributions into 401ks. This deduction will be replaced by a flat-rate tax credit. The reason for this change is to punish taxpayers in the higher income brackets for being successful. Higher income taxpayers receive a larger tax benefit in terms of dollars than someone in a lower tax bracket. This happens because taxpayers in higher tax brackets make larger contributions than those in lower tax brackets. This larger contribution converts into a larger deduction on their tax return. This larger deduction becomes a more substantial reduction in dollars on one’s taxable income. This, according to people like Senator Sanders, is unfair. This new tax regulation, if implemented, would only add insult to injury if you are a high-income taxpayer.

Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Bernie Sanders are not only interested in increasing individual income tax rates—they also want to increase corporate tax rates. In public, they are proposing to raise corporate tax rates to a level of 28%. If you recall, during the Obama Administration the corporate tax rate was raised to 35%. It is my belief that this is the actual corporate tax rate that the Biden Campaign and the Democrat party as a whole is shooting for. It is also my belief that this was part of the bargain struck between Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders when he dropped out of the Democrat primary.

There are several other areas of tax law that Joe, Bernie, and their merry band of tax and spend fanatics wish to address. One of the more impactful tax increases being discussed by the Biden team is an increase in the social security tax. Currently, all wages up to $137,700 are subject to FICA tax and Medicare tax. This change would exempt wages between $137,701 and $400,000 from the FICA tax. Any wages above $400K would be subject to the FICA tax. There would be no upper limit to the level of payroll subject to the FICA tax above $400K.

The difference between the Trump tax policy regarding capital gains and the Biden plan are night and day. Under Trump, capital gains are taxed at either 15% or 20% depending on the amount of the gain. However, the proposed tax on capital gains under a Biden Administration would mean that those who realize a long-term capital gain in excess of $1M would pay a tax on that gain in excess of 43%. This would include the Net Investment Tax (NIT), which was part of the ACA. This 43% tax would not include any capital gains tax levied at the state level. An investor could very well find himself paying in excess of 50% of any profit made on the sale of an investment.

As if paying over 50% tax on any profit in excess of $1M wasn’t bad enough, the reality is actually substantially worse. Let me illustrate this with an example: Suppose you purchased an investment property for $1M and kept it long enough to fully depreciate the property. During that time the property became fully depreciated and would therefore have a tax basis of zero. (Just to be clear, for a property to become fully depreciated, it takes in excess of twenty years.) You now decide to sell the property for $2M. The state and federal capital gains taxes, including the NIT, would be roughly 50%. Remember the tax basis on this fully depreciated property is now zero. What this means is that the taxable profit on this property is now $2M. This means that the total capital gains tax on the sale of this property is roughly $1M. That is 100% of the total profit made on the sale of this property. Is this the kind of tax law we want in America? Only if you’re a socialist.

The above example shows in very stark terms that the Biden tax plan for America is nothing more than a plan to punish those who work hard and become financially successful in their pursuits and those who take risks and invest their hard-earned money in the hope of making a fair return.

The Biden tax policy would cause business investment to decline. It would also result in the devaluation of currently owned investment assets, such as stocks and real estate. This would cause the owners of these assets to lose billions, or possibly trillions, in equity nationwide. Much of this equity is owned by individual investors as well as labor unions who make money on these investments to pay retirement benefits for their members. This type of tax policy, along with everything else that is happening, could be just enough to push this country over the edge.

Other socialist policies advocated by the Biden, Harris, and Sanders ticket include a proposal to put local zoning regulations under the control of the federal government. In essence, this plan would make it mandatory for all local zoning laws to be subject to the approval of the federal government. It would give the federal government the authority to force local zoning boards to allow multi-family dwellings in neighborhoods that are currently zoned for single-family homes only. As a means to coerce local municipalities into compliance with this new policy, the federal government would withhold funding for projects such as roads, bridges, and other infrastructure. If I am not mistaken, an attempt at this coercion actually took place in Westchester County, NY during the Obama Administration. To their credit, the local officials did not submit.

The reasoning behind this action was to give the children of low-income, inner-city families access to schools in the suburbs. Although I agree that these suburban school districts are a cut above those in the inner city, it is unfair for the federal government to insert itself into the realm of local politics and local zoning regulations. It is especially unfair for the federal government to use coercion to force local governments into compliance. I very much doubt if Joe Biden or any other Democrat politician would be in favor of a federal mandate such as this, or any other federal zoning regulation being forced down their throats in their neighborhoods.

There are reasons why some Americans have decided to invest hundreds of thousands of dollars into purchasing a home in suburbia. First and foremost, they do not desire to live in a multi-family high-rise with neighbors above and below them and on either side of them.

These people have chosen to live in a single-family dwelling with a yard. In some cases that yard may even be fenced in and have a swimming pool. To those who choose to live in this type of environment and can afford to do so, this is the American dream. Why shouldn’t these people be allowed to live undisturbed in their suburban neighborhood, free to raise their children without being raped by the federal government in the name of social justice?

If the federal government were to impose its will on these suburban municipalities and force them to allow multi-family dwellings to be built in their town, there would be an influx of new families into the district. Depending on the size of this influx, there could be a need for new schools, new roads, larger water and sewer systems, and increased personnel to manage and operate these facilities. These additional facilities would need to be funded. That funding would come from increased real estate taxes. These increased real estate taxes would be assessed even though property values in these locales would be reduced due to the addition of multi-family dwellings in the municipality. This is another example of socialism at its worst. The federal government would be imposing its will on the local government. Isn’t this similar to why we had the Boston Tea Party?

I have a better solution. Instead of the federal government imposing its will on small-town America, therefore making it possible for low-income families from the cities to send their children to better schools, why not improve the schools in the cities? Let’s take New York City as an example. According to schools.nyc.gov, the annual budget for the NYC school district is $34B—57% of which is funded by NYC taxes. There are roughly 1,100,000 students in the district. This means that $31K is spent on average for each student. The results of the schools in NYC, as is the case in the school districts of many other large cities, are atrocious. For $31K per student you could send them all to private schools and those students would be light years ahead of where they are now. This is why conservatives are pushing for charter schools. The children actually graduate with the ability to read and do math. Isn’t that the point of public school?

Obviously, the problem is not money. That narrows the list of possible choices down to one—a total lack of competent government administration. This problem is not going to go away under current management. The people that go to work in these schools everyday get paid, put in their time, and get mediocre results. After twenty years they retire and go on with their lives. It’s not my aim to put all the blame on teachers. They are under the constraints of government administration, and until that situation is fixed there will be no improvement. The problem starts at the top. Multiple people have called Mayor DeBlasio the worst mayor in New York City’s history for multiple reasons. The atrocious results in New York’s public schools is just one of those reasons.

It would appear that this plan to merge the suburbs with the urban centers they surround is nothing more than a ploy to transfer tax money from those in the suburbs to the cities. This plan being put forth by the left is just another way to redistribute wealth from one economic class to another without giving the communities that are being bled any say in the decision. To put this another way, it is a way to transfer funds from the well-managed suburbs to the financial train wrecks which describe the financial condition of our cities today.

This financial decline of our cities has been happening for decades. With the arrival of Covid-19 the effects of this financial decline became even more serious. To make matters worse, riots have been a nightly occurrence in some of our major cities for over four months. This lawless behavior, which the local city governments have been unable, or more accurately, unwilling to stop, is causing a mass exodus from our major cities. Local business owners who have had their businesses firebombed and looted are not willing to reopen as long as this unrest continues. Large employers like Walmart and Target who employed hundreds of people have also decided not to reopen. Events such as these devastate the tax base of these cities. Sales tax collections are reduced, as are real estate taxes. People are moving out in droves looking for a safer place to live. In many cases, that safer place is outside of the city. For those cities who impose an income tax on those who work in their cities, this source of revenue has also been reduced.

Nancy Pelosi tried to include hundreds of billions of dollars in her $3.4T Hero’s Act for the purpose of bailing out these cities and states. How could anyone, in good conscience, reward these city governments after years of waste and mismanagement. Fortunately, Mitch McConnell and the Republican-led Senate were able to stop its passage. If these cities were to be bailed out by the American taxpayer, there would be no accountability and no consequences. There would be no reason to not do it again.

Immigration is another area where Joe Biden and the Democrat Party as a whole are diametrically opposed to the Republican position. Let’s look at some of the points of disagreement.

Donald Trump is opposed to open borders and letting illegal immigrants into our country. He is not opposed to controlled legal immigration. Legal immigration would be defined as someone from another country applying for immigration status, being properly vetted, and being able to support himself and his family when they arrive.

There are sound logical reasons for these requirements. First it is not, nor should it be, the responsibility of the American taxpayer to support immigrants, legal or illegal, when they show up on our doorstep and say, “Here I am. Take care of me.”

There is also the matter of violent criminals entering our country. These violent criminals are certainly not the majority, but over the past twenty years these criminals have committed millions of violent crimes against Americans. These crimes include murder, armed robbery, assaults, and violent sex crimes, including many against children. Over the last six months since the beginning of the Covid pandemic, I have heard the number of Americans who have died as a result of this virus reported almost on a daily basis. Almost every time I hear that number reported or discussed, I hear, “We all agree that one is too many.” Doesn’t that also apply to the thousands of Americans who have been killed or outright murdered by illegals? Isn’t one too many? Another reason for not having open borders is to stop people infected with the Covid virus from entering our country.

The most violent and sadistic of these criminals are those who are members of MS-13. These animals have been known to hack people to death with machetes. This is the result when we allow unvetted illegals to freely enter our country. Americans are entitled to live in a safe environment. God knows we pay enough for it. Allowing unfettered access to our country by illegals is not in the best interest of the country or its citizens.

Consider the alternative of not having sovereign borders. There would be no limit to the millions or tens of millions of illegal immigrants entering our country unchallenged. Who would support these people? The government? The US government is unable to support itself without borrowing at least one trillion dollars per year. (I’ll have more to say on that subject towards the end of this post.) The US cannot support the billions of poor people on this planet. If we try, life in this country will change drastically, and not for the better. The bleeding hearts in this country have got to wake up. We can only do so much to save the world without sacrificing our own way of life. THE US DOES NOT HAVE UNLIMITED RESOURCES.

Before I close, there are two other issues that I want to discuss. These issues have more to do with who we are as a nation and where we’re going than socialism. I’m talking about the issues of abortion and law and order. These are two issues on which President Trump and Joe Biden have extremely different opinions.

The subject of abortion has been front and center in American politics since the mid-seventies. Since then, the rules governing abortion have been relaxed to the point where some states, like New York, have made the practice legal up to the moment of delivery. The question that now arises is what happens if the “fetus” survives the abortion procedure? That fetus then becomes a human being and, as such, is under the protection of the law and is entitled to the same rights and privileges as any other citizen of the US.

Although these fetuses who have survived the abortion procedure are supposed to be treated with the same rights as ordinary citizens, that is sometimes not the case. Many of these aborted fetuses have either been allowed to die or, as in case of Kermit Goswell, an abortion doctor, they were murdered by having their spinal cords cut. After being murdered by Dr. Goswell, their remains were unceremoniously flushed down the toilet. Some were given a shoe box for a casket and thrown in the trash while still alive. These events were relayed by eyewitness whistleblowers who watched in horror as these live born human beings were disposed of rights before their eyes. By the way, Dr. Goswell is currently serving a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole for his crimes.

It strikes me as grossly hypocritical that when a black man is killed, either justly or unjustly, by a white police officer, we have riots, looting, arson, attacks on police and civilians, along with other criminal activity. Yet when thousands of black babies are butchered and thrown out with the trash, there is silence. Nobody says a word. The media is silent. The medical profession who is sworn to do no harm is also silent. They carry out the execution, so of course they’re silent.

This is an oddity for someone like me, but I’m going to quote a Black Lives Matter slogan: “Silence is violence.” Well, America there it is. America is silent when it comes to abortion. The silence is deafening.

Aborting these fetuses is only the beginning. It gets worse. Abortion clinics, such as Planned Parenthood, actually cut up these aborted fetuses, like chickens, and “harvest” as many body parts as possible and then sell them. They even use the term “harvest” as if they were farmers “harvesting” their produce and selling it at the local farmers market. Selling body parts is sick, demented, and ghoulish. What’s next? Do we start killing adult humans to “harvest “their body parts for the good of the collective? To what level will this country sink?

Since its beginning, law and order have been the hallmark of our country. In the past criminals have been arrested, prosecuted, and if found guilty, sentenced. Today, in many of our major cities, this is no longer the case. In the face of riots, looting, and general lawlessness, the mayors and city council members of these major American cities have ordered their police departments to stand down. In other words, they are condoning this lawless behavior and made it open season on law-abiding citizens.

Since when, in this country, has it become acceptable for rioting, looting, arson, not to mention the outright murder of police officers and civilians, to go unchallenged by those who were elected to serve and protect their communities? In just the last four months, since these Marxist revolutionaries began their reign of terror in the major cities of our country, at least fifty police officers have been murdered and hundreds of others have been injured. In addition, hundreds of civilians, many of them black, including children—some as young as five months old—have been slain. Just in case you weren’t aware, it wasn’t the police who committed these murders: it was the rioters and local thugs. In many of these cities not only did these elected officials do nothing to stop this violence, some actually stood with the rioters. In many of these cities, like New York, Seattle, Portland, and Minneapolis, it took as long as three months for them to even speak out against this violence. To this day, many of these officials have not allowed local law enforcement to quell the violence. They have also refused to accept federal assistance to stop these criminals. These mayors and city council members are a pitiful excuse for public officials who are sworn to serve and protect their citizens.

You do not deal with Marxist criminals by appeasing them. You arrest them, charge them, try them, convict them, and put them away for as long as the law allows. To show just how committed the Biden campaign and its staffers are to law and order, Kamala Harris is leading the charge to solicit donations to be used to bail these anarchists out of jail and get them back out on the street to cause more damage. Kamala Harris, in particular, has allowed her name and photograph to appear on the website of the Minneapolis Freedom Fund (MFF) to help with donations. If by some miracle Joe Biden wins the presidency the odds are better than ever that Kamala Harris will become the president of the United States. Think about that. Is this the type of person you really want as your president? She is basically condoning this lawlessness. The possibility exists that the US could be changed from the free capitalist society that we enjoy today to something along the lines of Venezuela before it went bankrupt. And if the US goes, the rest of the free world will fall like dominoes.

The police are the only thing stopping an all-out war between the anarchists and law-abiding citizens. If they are defunded or further inhibited by their local governments from protecting the citizens of their jurisdictions, the citizens of those jurisdictions will be forced to protect themselves. If and when that happens, it won’t be pretty.

In a matter of weeks, the country will go to the polls and elect the candidate who will lead this country for the next four years. We will also be deciding what kind of country we want America to be. Do we want a country with confiscatory tax policies where the government legally steals assets from citizens who have worked hard for them and then gives those assets to the collective to decide how they will be spent? The choice between the two candidates couldn’t be clearer. Joe Biden says he won’t raise taxes on anyone making less than $400K per year. But then, in his next sentence, he says that he wants to repeal the Trump tax cuts. This would result in a tax increase for almost every taxpayer in America. So, which is it Joe?

The former vice president wants to raise corporate taxes possibly as high as 35%. He also wants to raise the tax rates on long-term capital gains. This would bring corporate taxes back to the same level as during the Obama Administration. If you recall, many businesses left the country and took their jobs with them. I have no reason to believe that those same businesses would not pack up and leave again if the Trump tax cuts were repealed. Raising taxes lowers economic growth and costs jobs. I don’t believe that this is in dispute. So why would we do it?

Raising taxes on long-term capital gains would lower investment across the board. The ability to make a profit on an investment is reduced when the tax liability on any gain increases. Why would an investor take the risk of investing in an asset if the possibility of making a profit is reduced? Less investment means lower asset values and less economic growth. Here again, a vote for Joe Biden is a vote for less economic growth and less jobs.

Another socialist policy being talked about by the Biden Campaign and many other Democrats as well is their plan to put local zoning laws under the authority of the federal government. This would allow federal bureaucrats to eliminate single-family zoning in the nation’s suburbs. It would allow low income multi-family housing to be built in these areas. This would result in a substantial decrease in the price of existing single-family homes in these areas. The other choice is to reelect President Trump and keep the quality of life in our nation’s suburbs as it is.

The two candidates have large differences regarding immigration. The Biden camp, and Democrats in general, are in favor of decriminalizing illegal border crossings. There would be no consequence for entering our country illegally. This is no different than having open borders. If this were to become US policy, how many immigrants would be allowed to enter our country? More importantly, how many of these immigrants would be supported by taxpayers? Are we going to accept ten million a year, twenty million a year, or fifty or a hundred million a year? What would stop these people from coming? The country would be overrun by illegal immigrants and some of them would be criminals. In the last twenty years, millions of violent crimes have been committed by these illegals. That number would increase astronomically if Joe Biden were to become president.

Obviously, none of this matters to Democrats or the mainstream media. I say this because I rarely hear of an American being murdered or sexually assaulted by an illegal on the mainstream media. All that matters is that Democrats regain political power. There is no price too great, and no American life too important, to stand in the way of winning back political power.

President Trump’s plan is to allow controlled legal immigration. This would result in a fixed number of immigrants every year. These immigrants would also have the ability to support themselves, pay taxes, and become productive members of the American workforce.

Obamacare never really lived up to its expectations. Some people had to pay very high premiums. Others had very high deductibles. It was mandated that everyone had to have medical insurance or pay a fine. There were loopholes in the plan that made it possible for businesses to avoid providing health insurance for their employees by cutting their hours to part time. So, not only did these people not get healthcare, they also suffered a pay cut. In this respect it could be argued that Obamacare did more harm than good.

Biden wants to build on the ACA and make it better. The problem is that his two running mates, who both represent the ultra-left, are not going to go along with his plans. Both of these people, especially Senator Sanders, have been stumping for Medicare for All for years. They are not going to settle for anything less. They want government-run socialized health care for the entire country. The price tag for this plan is $3.2T per year. That along with Biden’s Green New Deal would put the final nail in America’s coffin.

Joe Biden and the radical left-wing of the Democrat Party want to fundamentally change life in the US. They have admitted as much on more than one occasion. They plan to do this by taking over all three branches of our government and then fixing the rules of the game so that it will be impossible, or at least very difficult, to ever change them back

Step one would be electing Joe Biden as President of the United States. It would also be necessary for the Democrats to regain control of the Senate. Since they are already the majority in the House and it seems unlikely that they will lose that majority, they would now have control over two branches of our government. Those two steps were the hard part. With the Presidency and both houses of Congress under their control the Democrats would now be able to pack the Supreme Court and have complete control over all three branches of the federal government. With one party rule the Democrats could begin changing the rules of the game and be in a position to control the government indefinitely.

With one-party rule, the Democrats would eliminate the filibuster making the Senate nothing more than a toothless tiger. It would be reduced to a smaller version of the house governed by majority rule. The new government, now completely unimpeded with the elimination of the filibuster, could now add two more states to the union, namely Puerto Rico and Washington DC, giving the Democrats four more senate seats to add to their majority, assuming they win the senate in November. Here again, this change would be virtually impossible for the Republicans to overcome. The Democrats would effectively have complete control of the federal government in perpetuity.

If Democrats were to have control of all three branches of the federal government they could pass legislation that would give them permanent control of our government. They could also change our constitution in any way that would allow them to further cement their power. That would be the consequence of Democrat one-party rule.

Another move that would be made to further solidify their position would be the elimination of the electoral college. This would result in all future presidents being elected by popular vote only. This would mean that every future president would be elected by the states in the northeast corridor, Illinois, Michigan, and the three states on the west coast. Voters down south and in the Midwest would be shut out.

The events described above could have taken place previously in our history. I’m sure that there have been times when the Presidency and the Senate have been controlled by the same party. The difference is that in those days no one would have ever contemplated stacking the Supreme Court or eliminating the electoral college for the sole purpose of political gain. Those elected to serve in government on both sides of the aisle were patriots not political hacks. Even though they disagreed politically, they loved their country and revered the constitution. They took their jobs seriously and had the best interests of the country, and the people they represented at heart. In today’s political environment however, many of our elected officials are radical leftists who support the Marxist revolutionaries who want to destroy our legal system and revise our history. They want to turn our country into a socialist state, defund the police, and confiscate the assets of hard-working Americans. The message being pushed by these radical politicians is difficult to overcome. Our mainstream media is dominated by left-leaning journalists. The majority of the teachers in our public schools are left leaning ideologues who feed our children a steady diet of left-wing socialist propaganda and revisionist history. It would appear that people who believe in the constitution, law and order, and our free enterprise system are fighting a losing battle. My response is simply this. We have to keep fighting every day because once we lose this country to the radical left it will never return.

As you have probably heard a thousand times over the last few months, “This will be the most important election in the history of our country.” The possibility exists that it could be changed forever. Much higher taxes, massive immigration, lower economic growth, fewer and lower paying jobs will be the norm.

Just look at the streets of our major cities, most of which are run by Democrats. Riots, looting, arson, and murder are becoming acceptable. This is not the America that I grew up in. The time to choose is rapidly approaching. The choice is between law and order, economic prosperity and the preservation of our constitutional rights—or unrestrained immigration, government-mandated socialized medicine, and previously unheard-of tax and spending policies that will eventually bankrupt this country. If you think there are riots now, just wait until this radical Democrat agenda becomes law. The facts are there for everyone to see. Choose wisely America. You may not get another chance.
